We got in late last night in Paris; our Airbnb is fantastic, you can see the Eiffel Tower from our living room window!
We slept in today and it felt so good! We then headed over to Reebok CrossFit Louvre to attend there weightlifting WOD, which was 1 rep max overheat squat. It was great to drill and drill and perfect this movement.

After cleaning up, we headed to Musem de O’rsay, where Zaq and I gazed at all sorts of amazing original artworks, but we found we favored the work of Signac and Luce.

The sculpture room is also breathtaking; we caught new details to share with each other and had fun making up scenarios for each.

Then we took the metro (which by the way runs all over the city and has trains that come ever 3 to 4 minutes, I really wish Seattle had something even comparable) to Norte Dame. The glass of the windows and the architecture is unbelievable, did you know it took 700 years to complete!? Makes me feel truly lucky to get to enjoy it in my lifetime.

We didn’t get a chance to climb the Notre Dame tower, but we plan on going back tomorrow.

We took a stroll down the Seine River and found a local artist doing watercolor, we chatted with him and ended up buying one of his pieces, I can’t wait to hang it when we get home!
We then hoped on the metro toward Sacré-Cœur and had dinner at a little French restaurant that caught our eye. We sat out on the street and people watched and chatted, it was bliss. The food in Paris isn’t bad. Anywhere. I got the Duck with herbed potatoes and Zaq got a Fish dish with butter cream potatoes. We asked the server if he could take our photo…it was the best picture! 😦

But he did get this one too! 😉

Too funny! Zaq and I had a good laugh with the guy though.
With our bellies full and content, we walked down to Sacré-Cœur to enjoy the sunset. The inside of this church has the most amazing mosaic tile work. We just sat there, holding hands in silence while taking it in. It was a little overcast so there wasn’t too amazing a sunset, but the view was still spectacular.

We walked around the area a little more and ended at the Moulin Rouge, where we took in all the tourists and their photo attempts, before having a crack at our own – photography compliments to Zaq.
We decided to get the best view in Paris next and took the metro to the Eiffel Tower. It’s truly amazing to see at night, all lit up, plus every hour after sunset it sparkles with millions of little lights. Truly lovely to be in this city with someone you love and can share all these moments with.

We stopped for some yummy dessert before turning in for another full day tomorrow!
Bonne Nuit!
