We arrived in London today, this city has so much hustle & bustle, we already know our stay here is too short, but we still made it a great first day!
First thing we did was go check out St. Paul’s Cathedral, this humongous (365 foot tall) and gorgeous landmark has so much detail to take in.

We walked around the Cathedral Floor and we’re just taken away by the ceiling, no pictures to offer, sorry! Photography inside the Church was not allowed. We did, however, climb all those steps to the Whispering Gallery, the Stone Gallery AND the Golden Gallery, where you can peak through a hole in the floor and have a birds eye vie of the Cathedral Floor! Nuts!
See map for better context

Here is the picture we took from the Golden Gallery, what a view!

We then took the tube over Tower of London, where we got to view the Crown Jewels (again no pictures allowed.) We were just blown away by the history within the tower walls.

With all this walking we sure worked up an appetite and ventured over to Bethnal Green for a some good pub food, yum!
We made short work of our triple cooked chips, meat platter and shepherds pie, everything was SO delicious!

Then we walked the streets and took it all in

We came made it to this amazing place called Cereal Killer Cafe, and had the best carb-O-load, it’s a cafe that collects cereals from all over the world and makes concoctions with over 20 different milks and 30 toppings! I ordered ‘The Lion King,’ which contained Lion Cereal and Cocoa chex from Britain with rolos and caramel milk. O.M.G. It was SO intense, but worth every bite!

After that, I was done in, we got back on the Tube and worked our way back to home base, which is this great little bar & hostel in Lambeth – The Walrus.
Happy Trails ❤️
